DATA MAP

What is stored where.

“Local” describes document processing, not every service the app uses. Each category below has a different purpose and retention boundary.

Your computer

Statement files and transaction data

Purpose: Read PDFs, run OCR, review and correct transactions, then export CSV or XLSX.
Retention and control: You control your local workspace, exports and backups. Remove files you no longer need.
Third parties: Not uploaded to Stmtio for conversion. A folder you choose to sync may be copied by its cloud provider.

Online account services

Account, sign-in and device records

Purpose: Authenticate your account and manage registered devices and access.
Retention and control: Kept as needed to operate the account and meet applicable obligations; no single fixed period applies to every record.
Third parties: Cloudflare hosts account services. Google receives or provides information only if you choose Google sign-in.

Online account and billing services

Subscription and page usage

Purpose: Manage your subscription, page allowance and usage records.
Retention and control: Kept as needed for allowances, disputes and applicable billing obligations.
Third parties: Stripe handles payment details entered at checkout. Stmtio receives billing references and subscription status; Cloudflare hosts its account records.

Website and service providers

Website analytics and optional help request

Purpose: Understand website visits and download clicks; respond if you voluntarily request setup help by email.
Retention and control: Provider and purpose dependent. You can request deletion of a help request by replying to our follow-up email.
Third parties: Google Analytics receives website activity, not the email from the help form. An optional help request goes to our team through Lark.

PROTECTIONS AND LIMITS

Specific safeguards. No blanket promise.

Account connections use HTTPS

The desktop app uses operating-system secure storage where available for authentication credentials. This does not mean exported spreadsheets are encrypted.

Documents are processed on-device

Imported PDFs, OCR text, extracted transactions and corrections are not sent to Stmtio for conversion. You can review the rows beside the source PDF before exporting CSV or Excel XLSX.

Your storage choices still matter

Protect your computer and backups. A cloud-synced folder may upload files through its own provider, independently of Stmtio. No system can guarantee absolute security.

YOUR CONTROLS

Keep only what you need.

Remove local files through the app and manage exports or backups where you stored them. Uninstalling Stmtio does not automatically delete cloud account records or cancel billing.

Account-data requests

For access, correction or deletion of cloud account information, email smallmartial@gmail.com. We may verify your identity before acting. Do not send bank statements, passwords or card details in your initial message.

If you use Google sign-in, revoking it in your Google account does not itself delete your Stmtio account or cancel a subscription. Manage billing through the account portal.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Read the boundary before you import.

Does Stmtio upload bank statements for conversion?

No. Statement PDFs, OCR text, extracted transactions, corrections and exports are handled on your computer. Stmtio does not upload statement contents to its servers for conversion.

Is Stmtio completely offline?

No. You need an internet connection to sign in and confirm your page allowance before a new conversion. Processing can then continue offline, and usage syncs when you reconnect.

Are local files encrypted by Stmtio?

Local processing does not automatically encrypt the workspace, exports or backups. Protect your device and storage, and check whether your chosen folder is cloud-synced.

Does Google sign-in access my bank account or Drive?

No. Google sign-in provides basic identity information for your Stmtio account. It does not grant Stmtio access to Gmail messages, Google Drive documents or bank accounts.

How do I request deletion of account data?

Email smallmartial@gmail.com with your request. We may verify your identity. Deleting local files or uninstalling the app does not automatically delete cloud account records or cancel a subscription.
