Stmtio is operated by Calibre Digital, LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy explains how we handle information when you use our website and desktop application. Calibre Digital, LLC is responsible for the personal information processed for the purposes described here.
1. Your statements stay on your computer
Statement PDFs, OCR processing, extracted text, transaction review and spreadsheet exports are handled locally. Stmtio does not upload statement files or transaction contents to its servers for conversion. Your local workspace, exports and backups remain under your control. If you place them in a cloud-synced folder, that folder’s provider may synchronize them independently of Stmtio.
2. Information used for online services
Local processing does not mean the application never connects to the internet. Online services handle:
- Account information, such as your name, email address, account identifier and email verification status. Email-and-password accounts use a password hash rather than a plain-text password.
- Authentication sessions and security information, including IP address, user-agent information and authentication timestamps.
- Registered device identifiers, device names, platform, app version and device-key identifiers.
- Subscription status, payment-provider references and page-usage reservations, settlements and releases needed to manage your allowance.
- Website and service request metadata used to deliver the service, diagnose failures and prevent abuse.
3. Google sign-in
If you choose Google sign-in, we receive basic identity information such as your Google account identifier, name, email address, verification status and, where provided, profile image. Authentication credentials or tokens may be stored to operate your sign-in session. We use this information for account authentication and linking your Stmtio account to its plan and allowance, not to access your financial documents.
Google sign-in does not give Stmtio access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive documents or bank accounts. You can revoke the connection in your Google account connections. Revoking Google access does not itself delete your Stmtio account or cancel a subscription.
4. Service providers and sharing
Cloudflare provides website hosting, account-service infrastructure and cloud database services. Google provides optional sign-in. Stripe processes subscription payments; payment details you enter in Stripe’s checkout are handled by Stripe, while Stmtio receives billing references and subscription information. These providers may process information in countries other than your own.
We do not sell Google user data or use it for advertising or general-purpose AI model training. We share information as needed to provide the services described here, meet legal obligations or protect against fraud and abuse. We do not send your statement contents to an external AI service for conversion.
5. Storage, security and retention
Account connections use HTTPS. The desktop app uses operating-system secure storage where available for authentication credentials. Local files and exported spreadsheets are not automatically encrypted merely because processing is local; protect your device and backups appropriately.
We keep account, usage and billing records as needed to provide your account, maintain accurate allowances, handle disputes and comply with applicable obligations. Retention depends on the record and purpose; we do not promise immediate deletion of every backup or legally required billing record. No system can guarantee absolute security.
6. Your choices and requests
You can remove local files through the app and manage exported files and backups yourself. Deleting local data or uninstalling the app does not automatically remove cloud account records or cancel billing. To request access, correction or deletion of cloud account information, contact us using the address below. We may verify your identity before acting. Depending on your location, you may have additional privacy rights or the right to contact a data-protection authority.
7. Cookies and service updates
We use Google Analytics on our public website to understand visits and download-button clicks. Google Analytics may use cookies and collect information such as pages viewed, referring websites, and browser and device information. We do not send the email address from our optional download-help form to Google Analytics. This website analytics integration does not receive statement PDFs or transaction data from the desktop app. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
If you choose to submit the download-help form and agree to follow-up, we send your email address, consent and submission time to our team through Lark so we can help you get started and ask for product feedback. Providing an email is optional and does not affect downloading Stmtio. You can reply to our follow-up email to ask us to stop contacting you or delete your request.
Authentication pages use cookies or similar session storage to complete sign-in. Your browser may also interact with cookies controlled by Google or Stripe when you use those services. The app contacts our website for version information. Material changes to these practices will be reflected in this policy and, where required, communicated separately.
